Arizona’s Rhodes goes through limited practice

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP)—Arizona Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes(notes) went through a
limited practice on Wednesday, his first workout with the team since he was
injured in a game at Minnesota on Oct. 9.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt says Rhodes was able to go through some drills.
Whisenhunt says Rhodes’ return to game action will depend on how the player’s
left foot responds to the increased activity.

Rhodes broke a bone in his left foot in the Cardinals’ 34-10 loss to the
Vikings. Rashad Johnson(notes) and Richard Marshall(notes) have filled in during the seven
games Rhodes has missed.

Cardinals Injury Report, Week 13: Kevin Kolb…

Read More: Kevin Kolb (QB – ARI), Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have a tough task before them in Week 13 in the form of the Dallas Cowboys, but they will, at least, have most of their backfield healthy enough to play. Kevin Kolb, who has missed time in 2011 with a toe injury, is listed as probable for the Cardinals’ game against the Cowboys on Sunday, and he’ll have his backfield behind him, too.

Running backs Beanie Wells and LaRod Stephens-Howling are also both probable for Sunday’s game.

Here’s the rest of Friday’s edition of the Cardinals injury report for Week 13:

OUT: none.

DOUBTFUL: LB Joey Porter (knee), S Kerry Rhodes (foot).

QUESTIONABLE: TE Todd Heap (hamstring), LB Reggie Walker (hamstring).

PROBABLE: CB Michael Adams (hamstring), TE Rob Housler (groin), QB Kevin Kolb (toe), RB LaRod Stephens-Howling (shoulder), RB Beanie Wells (knee).

Cardinals Vs. Cowboys Injury Report: Arizona Is A…

Read More: Kevin Kolb (QB – ARI), Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals continue to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. The game is sold out which marks the 60th straight time the fans have stepped up and saved the city from a TV blackout. Here’s the updated injury report from Thursday practice and a note from Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

Kevin Kolb took most of the snaps with the starters today, still on schedule to start against the Cowboys on Sunday

For the Cardinals, S Kerry Rhodes was the only player who didn’t practice. He has his foot out of the walking boot but there hasn’t been any stated timeline for his return.

Limited in practice were: CB Michael Adams (hamstring), TE Todd Heap (hamstring),  LB Joey Porter (knee), LB Reggie Walker (hamstring), RB Chris Wells (knee).

Kevin Kolb along with TE Rob Housler and KR/RB LaRod Stephens-Howling (shoulder) were full participants in Thursday’s practice.

The Cowboys have a much more extensive injury report:

Did not practice: WR Miles Austin (hamstring), RB Tony Fiammetta (illness), QB Jon Kitna (back), DT Josh Price-Brent (knee), RB Phillip Tanner (hamstring)

Limited: CB Mike Jenkins (hamstring), G Kyle Kosier (foot), S Gerald Sensabaugh (foot)

Cardinals Vs. Cowboys Injury Report: Miles Austin…

Read More: Laurent Robinson (WR – DAL), Kerry Rhodes (S – ARI), Kevin Kolb (QB – ARI), Todd Heap (TE – ARI), Jon Kitna (QB – DAL), Joey Porter (LB – ARI), Gerald Sensabaugh (S – DAL), Miles Austin (WR – DAL), Kyle Kosier (G – DAL), Mat McBriar (P – DAL), Michael Adams (CB – ARI), Mike Jenkins (CB – DAL), Tony Fiammetta (FB – DAL), Sean Lee (LB – DAL), Dez Bryant (WR – DAL), Rob Housler (TE – ARI), Bruce Carter (LB – DAL), Phillip Tanner (RB – DAL), Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals

Nothing much is different for the Arizona Cardinals in their latest injury report. Both Kerry Rhodes and Joey Porter are out as expected, but Kevin Kolb does appear to be on his way back. The Cardinals should have as many hands on deck needed to try and score an upset against Dallas.

The Dallas Cowboys have a few more injuries, but still nothing out of the ordinary. Wide receiver Miles Austin is still not practicing and looking like he could be doubtful for Sunday’s game. If you have Austin on your fantasy team, you might have to wait a little longer and try relying on alternative options like Dez Bryant and Laurent Robinson. This should ease the burden on the Cardinals secondary, who won’t have to worry about one of Tony Romo’s favorite targets.

Here’s the entire injury report.
